7/27/16 Memorials and Kennedy Center Day 5 July 27

After watching a late movie last night, no one was moving fast today. I was the first one up at 8:30 to shower and get ready.  We left for DC at 11:15 and Sandy and her boys decided to stay back and meet us later.  Out first stop was Metro Park to walk to the White House. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a tour but it was neat to see. We then Walked to national mall where we saw the outside of the Washington Momument, Lincoln Memeorial, Korean Memeorial and then the Viatnam Memorial. We were able to find my dad's cousins name on the wall 6w line 43 Donald R. soles.

By this time it was after 3:00 and the boys were so tired. We walked half way to the Kennedy center the. Took a cab the rest of the way.  We met Sandy, Ron and the boys at the Kennedy center for an hour tour. It was amazing how many gift of art were in that building from other countries. The different performance centers were amazing.

We then took the trolley to Foggy Bottom and ate at District Commons. It was delicious !  We took the metro back home and since Seth and Sean spent the night with us last night, Carter spent the night with then tonight. We will be sad to be going home soon.
