Day 14: San Francisco

July 1: Up early once again and showered and ready to pull out by 8:00 sharp.  Mom took the first driving shift and drove all the way to and through San Francisco.  We took the San Mateo Bridge into the city for the grand old price of $20.00.

I was thankful that Mom was driving because the roads were so narrow and the houses on top of each other. We even got to see a trolley car.

Being in San Fransisco we had to go over the Golden Gate Bridge and no it isn't made of gold which is what the boys wanted to know. We will get THAT bridge toll via mail... Hmm how much will it cost?

Carter was more impressed that he could see Alcatraz.

Once we got through San Fransisco I took over the last 1 1/2 hours until we got to Bodega Bay, California. The campground had the cutest entrance and the cleanest bathrooms so far on this trip. I was a little disappointed it wasn't on the water though.

The boys and I decided to walk the half mile to the bay.  We were looking for the beach but ended up in the rocks.  We found out we went the wrong way for the sandy beach so we headed back and instead ate dinner, played National Park Monopoly and ate dessert from the Mexican Restaurant in front of the RV campground.
Tomorrow is another early day as we head to the Redwood Forest and Klamath, California.
