Day 26: driving across South Dakota

June 13
I finally got a good night sleep and we were up and on the road by 8:20.  Our first stop an hour down the road was Wall Drugs.  It is kind of like a western shopping town with lots of little shops all connected that sell just about everything. Carter found a toy wooden gun he just had to have, Cayson found a toy train and Camden... A pound of Taffy.  Mom and I bought fudge and a pecan roll. I am definitely going to have to get back on track after this vacation.  My mom is my nemesis when it comes to sweets. The two of us together are trouble!

We drove several more hours and our second stop was at the Corn Palace.  This is a building that the outside and inside are covered with murals made of corn.

Tonight we would be staying in Sioux Falls at the Yogi Bear Camp ground. What fun!  They had an awesome pool, putt putt and even a bouncing pillow.

Tomorrow is the last long drive.  We are driving through Minnesota and all of Wisconsin to get to Racine to visit family and friends.
